diskuss.app ("diskuss", "we", "us") provides secure team messaging, task management and file sharing. This policy explains what information we collect, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address when you create an account or accept a workspace invite.

Content you create: messages, voice notes, photos, files and checklist items you send or upload within your workspace.

Contacts (optional): if you use "Import from phone" to invite teammates, we read the name and email address of the contacts you explicitly select. We never access your contacts without you actively choosing this feature, and we don't read your full address book automatically.

Device and usage information: basic technical data (device type, browser, IP address) used for security and to keep the service running reliably.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the messaging, task and file-sharing features
• To authenticate you and keep your workspace secure
• To send account-related emails (invites, password resets, confirmations)
• To enforce storage limits and workspace plans

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages or files for advertising.

Where your data lives

Your workspace's messages, files and account data are stored in a database and file storage service operated for diskuss.app. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so that only members of a workspace can see that workspace's data.

Voice notes, photos and files

Voice recordings, photos and file attachments you send are stored privately and are only accessible to members of the conversation they were shared in, via short-lived, signed links generated on demand — they are never made publicly browsable.

Data sharing

We share information only with the service providers necessary to run diskuss.app (database/storage hosting, and email delivery for account notifications). We do not sell or rent your data to third parties, and we do not share your messages with advertisers.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your own messages at any time
• You can leave a workspace or ask your workspace admin to remove your account
• You can request a copy of your data or its deletion by contacting us (below)

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account or workspace is active, or as needed to provide the service. Workspace admins can configure automatic archiving of old discussions. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Children's privacy

diskuss.app is a workplace tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
